The government has launched a major public consultation on its updated plans for expanding Heathrow Airport. The Department for Transport has revised the old 2018 planning framework, renaming it the Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement (HENPS). You need to respond to this by the end of August so that our village is given a voice in the planned airport expansion.

Heathrow Airport has announced investment for 2026. It intends to spend £1.3 billion on capital investment. It has also committed funding for the planning application for the third runway expansion.

Public Spaces Protection Order
rom May 2024 Stanwell Moor has the benefit of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) banning Heathrow cabs on its roads. The village has been lobbying Spelthorne Borough Council and Heathrow Airport for action against private hire cabs clogging its roads, littering its streets and abusing residents. This is positive news demonstrating that our village can confidently make its case for action with key stakeholders responding to its needs.
